His story so far
From difficult transitions to proud achievements, Kayden’s journey shows what can happen when a child receives understanding, consistency and the right support.Kayden and SEN
Kayden is autistic and has ADHD. His needs can affect focus, emotional regulation, resilience, peer interactions and independence, but they are only one part of who he is.
His education journey
Kayden has an Education, Health and Care Plan. Mainstream education became extremely challenging, and his family worked hard through mediation to secure the specialist support he needed.
Finding the right school
After a difficult transition, Kayden settled at Bader Academy. He completed his first year at SEN school with 100% attendance, built friendships, joined activities and began enjoying full school days.
His strengths
Kayden is enthusiastic, curious, creative and confident. He particularly enjoys practical learning, PE, science, art, music, Spanish, computing, technology, cooking, history and geography.
Growing in confidence
Kayden has taken part in the Mini Olympics and made brilliant swimming progress—going from feeling nervous in the water to swimming confidently across the pool.
Learning beyond lessons
School activities and visits have included Crucial Crew, Eureka, cinema and pantomime trips, helping Kayden build confidence through real experiences and time with friends.

Never giving up.
Kayden listens to his coaches, encourages others and gives everything his best. Training helps build speed, agility, technique, fitness, strength, focus and confidence.- January 2026Reached Green Belt and continued pushing towards the next grading.

Running and fitness
Kayden enjoys running alongside the family. During a five-lap session in May 2026, every recorded lap was close to twelve seconds, with his quickest at 11.75 seconds.
Turning ten
Kayden celebrated his tenth birthday with an action-packed Ninja Warrior Sheffield party surrounded by family and friends.
Growing independence
A week-long Boys’ Brigade camp became another important adventure and a chance for Kayden to build confidence away from home.
